Processes & Equipment

Forging

Kisaan Die Tech is serious about forging – we forge 8500+ tonnes of material every year.

Our state-of the-art forging equipment includes:

  • 1.5 tonne, 3 tonne and 3.5 tonne Closed Die Forging Drop Hammers
  • Components up to 50 Kg
  • 3 tonne and 5 tonne Open Die Forging Hammers with ring forging capability
  • Single piece up to 5000 Kg
  • 150 tonne and 600 tonne Forging Presses
  • 4 Pre-heating furnaces to feed the forging hammers with separate line for high nickel alloys

Kisaan Die Tech is stocked with standard dies and die inserts and manufactures high quality, precise dies for all forging operations on-site.

Heat Treatment

Heat treatment is an integral part of the forging process. Kisaan Die Tech provides a full range of heat-treatment processes (Annealing, Normalizing, Quenching, Tempering, and Stress Relieving) at its main facility. We can heat treat anything that we forge with our:

  • 4 Heat treatment furnaces (1200° Celsius)
  • 2 Muffle furnaces (1200° Celsius)
  • High-capacity and fully automated quenching tanks (Oil and Water)

Our high efficiency, Natural Gas-fired furnaces undergo regular thermal mapping and calibration to ensure that heating is uniform and precise. Our quenching process is fully automated – components are placed in water or oil quickly to prevent cooling. Testing is conducted after each heat treatment step to ensure process and material conformance.

Precision Machining

Over the last few years, Kisaan Die Tech has increased forging and in-house machining capabilities considerably at the main facility in India and opened another facility in Ottawa, Canada. Our partnerships with international tooling suppliers ensure that we have continuous access to the most modern and efficient machine tools.
